The "SKANDI " is latest edition to the Symmetry Spey series; a 4"x1 1/2" with a 1" spool gap. I recieved some requests for a lighter model spey reel with less line capacity for 12/13 foot spey incorporating Scandinavian spey line systems. So I went back to the drawing board of my original reels and started erasing. The first thing I removed was one of the three 41,000 RPM stainless steel ball bearing enclosures to reduce weight.  In the end, it is still functional, rugged and very pleasing to the eye and a well suited reel for that 13 foot rod.

The reel also comes with all the winding plate options. This Spey reel will is available for the Snake Roll Option.

LEATHER REEL CASE OPTION
I am taking now orders for the new reel cases. Here is a bit of information about Buffalo leather and why it makes a great reel case. First off it's a natural material that breathes, a lot like our skin, and releases moisture. Thats a good thing for a fly reel case. Care Buffalo leather is easy to clean and has a smooth finish and strong fibers that prevent any penetration of sand, sun, or fish slime. Cleaning with a soapy cloth directly after a spill is best. Buffalo leather responds beautifully to annual conditioning. It develops a rich patina over time that makes it your own “antique”. If you have a speyco reel or any other classic reel that you want to protect look no further. This is the most Affordable well made product on the web, and believe me looked around for reel cases.
